Feasibility Study & Front-end Engineering

Feasibility study is a comprehensive analysis of the technical, economic, social and environmental aspects of a proposed project to ensure that the project is feasible, viable and sustainable before investing time, money and resources into it.

 

During feasibility study and Front-end engineering design (FFED) phase, we work with our customers to provide knowledge-based technical, economic and environmental evaluation of a proposed project. We eveluates the potential benefits and riskes of different alternative and develop preliminary design to provide the best, most economical process design for funding/bidding decisions, whilst ensuring the project meets applicable standards and regulations .

Detailed Design Engineering

We work with our client to translate contents of FEED into detailed drawings (e.g. P&ID), models, simulations, calculations, and documentations that describe how the plant will function, be tested and maintained; thus, ensuring that the final deliverables meet the expectations of stakeholders and complies with the relevant standards and regulations.

 

Our models are developed using direct plant data or industry-standard thermodynamic methods and physical property data to provide robust and accurate results. Specifications are produced with the right physical and mechanical properties to permit procurement of equipment and materials as well as preparation of inquiries for construction.

Process Control and Optimisation

An important part of process control is the measurement of one or more variables, the comparison with a set point or a desired value, and the application of feedback or feedforward mechanisms to adjust the variables.

 

We have a team of highly experienced engineers who can work with your team using real-time, data-driven decisions to maintain process stability, increase safety and quickly realize significant improvements to your process control challenges, no matter whether they're designing a new plant or modifying an existing one.

Primary and Advanced Process Control

Using our diverse knowledge and dedicated Advanced Process Control (APC) tools, we develop suitable solutions together with our customers to address unique process control challenges by simultaneously controlling a number of process parameters and significantly reducing the standard deviation of these parameters, thus resulting in a more stable operation that maintain product within specifications .

Fedem Engineering uses Primary and Advanced Process Control (APC) tools such as Cascade Control and Model Predictive Control  (MPC) to improve improve process profitability by enhancing quality, increasing throughput, and reducing energy usage.

Model Predictive Control is an advanced control strategy that uses mathematical models of the process to optimise the process input, and simultaneously controls a number of process parameters that maintain product within specification.
